CityReach Women is a ministry to women of all ages in our church and wider community. A leadership team meets regularly to plan ways in which we can engage our women to find connection, community and growth at CityReach. CityReach Women seek to encourage women to find their new identity in Christ, and through deep spiritual friendship, grow in Christ-like character. Throughout the year the CityReach Women’s ministry has a number of ways that provide the opportunity for this to occur.
WHAT WE OFFER
Women’s Community Groups run weekly or fortnightly, mostly during the day. One Young Mums group is available fortnightly in the evening. These community groups run a separate study using indepth Bible Study material.
Monday night Equipping runs in the 1st term of each year, and is an opportunity for women to connect together and be taught on topics that are relevant to their day to day lives.
Friday/Saturday Electives – Two electives are run on both days, enabling women to attend both electives. They are an additional equipping opportunity for connection and growth.
Mosaic Café runs once a year as an opportunity for women to invite their neighbours and friends to a casual coffee, cake and chat. Guest speakers are invited to come and share on topics that are relevant to women of all ages in all walks of life.
Outreach Event is run in the 4th term of each year and is further opportunity for women to invite neighbours and friends to a fun event with a gospel presentation.
DVU – the local Domestic Violence Unit is supported by the CityReach Women’s Ministry by providing programs on a regular basis at the facility. A small team of women run these programs regularly throughout the year.
Book Club is an opportunity for women to connect over a good book. Each semester a book is chosen, read individually and then shared over a coffee time.
Newsletter - CityReach Women connect through a quarterly newsletter handout, through the CityReach Women’s facebook page, and further information about the ministry can be found on the CityReach Website.
