Director of Worship
I was born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia. I became a Christian at the age of 10 when I asked my mum what was required to be a follower of Jesus. While we were driving I confessed my sin and surrendered my life to him there and then!
Through my adolescent years God allowed me to experience some difficulties and struggles but put people in my life that pointed me to the Lord and helped me in my faith too. I was challenged by one of our Pastors during a Real Life Group night to surrender every part of my life back to God and that led me to re-committing my life to the Lord Jesus.
I met my wife in our youth group when we were young teenagers. Over the last 10 years we have enjoyed encouraging each other in our faith, the blessing of marriage and being able to encourage other younger couples who are looking to get married too. My wife is a talented physiotherapist who loves to serve people and she is also a key leader in the young adult ministry here at CityReach Oakden. Without her in my life I would be very disorganised and would only be half the man I am today.
I am blessed to be able to serve with and lead the Worship Ministry. I have a Diploma of Ministry and am working towards a Bachelor of Ministry that I hope to complete in the next couple years. I love seeing people become passionate worshippers of God and for the gathered church to be constantly reminded of God’s worthiness to be praise and revered.
On my days off I love spending time in the garden tending to the veggie patch, doing woodwork and going away trying to catch the biggest fish imaginable.
