Lead and Teaching Pastor
I was born in Maryborough and was raised in rural Queensland. At eighteen I moved to Brisbane to study at university. Even though I grew up in a family of faith and knew the content of the gospel with my head, it had never really reached my heart. And so after having been very disillusioned with life after having moved to Brisbane I read the biography of a Christian musician named Keith Green and through his testimony God brought me face to face with the truth that I was a sinner and that Jesus was a sufficient Saviour. I surrendered my life to him and have never looked back.
Since he died for me I want to live to glorify him every day of my life and want everyone everywhere to come to know him.
My wife and I were married not long after this at the age of nineteen. We have five beautiful children. She is a school nurse and loves caring for kids and families in our community.
I currently serve as the Lead and Teaching Pastor of CityReach Oakden, the director of the CityReach Network and am the state adviser of Overseas Christian Fellowship. I hold a certificate in small business management, a Bachelor of Arts Music Degree, a graduate diploma of Christian studies and a Master’s of theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. More recently, I have started a Doctor of Ministries degree in Large Church Ministries.
When I’m not at church I love watching ‘the office’ with my daughters, running the parkrun and having coffee with my wife.
